Freestyle Skiing - Chapuis leads French sweep in ski cross

Jean Frederic Chapuis won freestyle skiing cross gold to lead a stunning French podium sweep in the "roller derby on snow" at the Sochi Olympics.

Arnaud Bovolenta took silver, while Jonathan Midol won bronze after the fourth finallist, Canada's Brady Leman, crashed out on the penultimate jump.
Midol's ski made contact with that of Leman before the fall, though the Canadian had earlier similarly taken out Swiss favourite Alex Fiva in the first round of heats.
Switzerland's defending champion Michael Schmid, who has had three serious knee injuries since winning gold in Vancouver, sustained another last Sunday and did not start.
