Confident Ronaldo says Real are already into last eight

Cristiano Ronaldo has praised the entire Real Madrid team after they eased to a win against Schalke.

Los Blancos beat the German side 6-1 in their Champions League Last 16 first leg, with the Portugal international netting twice.

“It was a good game for us,” he told Canal +. “We didn’t allow them to play their usual way.

“I think we’re into the next phase, and for us that’s the most important thing.

“Like I said, we did well. But it wasn’t just the three forwards who played well.

“The whole team delivered tonight – from Iker up to the strikers.”
