Golf - McIlroy misses out in agonising Florida finale

Rory McIlroy lost out in a play-off to Russell Henley at the Honda Classic at PGA National in Florida.

Henley birdied the first play-off hole after finding the par-5 18th green in two and safely two putting, while the other three players - McIlroy, Russell Knox and Ryan Palmer - all missed longer chances for birdies.
McIlroy had led after every round but shot a final day 74 after a string of poor shots, with a double bogey on 16 after finding the water and a bogey on 17 after going into a greenside bunker costing him dear.
The Northern Irish world number eight almost recovered to steal the tournament back with a staggering shot to the 72nd hole - a 245-yard shot over a lake to eight feet.
But his eagle putt to win outright stayed up, and McIlroy advanced to the play-off - where this time, his shot at the same 18th hole flew the green and settled in a bunker from where he failed to get up and down.
