FA Cup - Jovetic and Nasri seal City win over Chelsea

FA Cup fifth round, Etihad Stadium - Manchester City 2 (Jovetic 16, Nasri 67) Chelsea 0.

Manchester City avenged their recent Premier League defeat to Chelsea with a comfortable 2-0 win over Jose Mourinho's side in the FA Cup last 16.
Manuel Pellegrini's side were the hungrier team throughout the match and never really looked back after taking the lead through Stevan Jovetic on 16 minutes.
Jovetic galloped onto a lovely pass from Edin Dzeko after some neat play by David Silva before sending a shot into the net off a post with Petr Cech beaten.
With Chelsea struggling badly to make an impression upon a vibrant City side, it was of minimal surprise to see Manuel Pellegrini's team move two to the good on 67 minutes.
The outstanding Silva accepted a neat pass from substitute Nasri before sliding the ball back to his team-mate to net from close range. There was a hint of offside, but the 2-0 scoreline hardly flattered the home side.
Chelsea were disappointing as they failed to create any real chances against a team who remain active in all four competitions.
City progress to the last eight with Chelsea forced to concentrate on the Premier League and the Champions League. They can few complaints.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Vincent Kompany (Manchester City): So many players in the City side were up for this nomination - including Yaya Toure and David Silva - but Kompany gets the nod. Alongside Joleon Lescott, Kompany coasted through the evening.
